Scholarships & Awards
Supporting education is at the heart of CFUW Abbotsford’s mission. Each year, we provide financial awards to mature female students attending the University of the Fraser Valley — helping women return to school and achieve their academic goals.
Empowering Women Through Education
Since 1953, CFUW Abbotsford has offered scholarships and bursaries to support the education of women in our community. These awards are designed to assist mature female students who are returning to post-secondary studies and are funded through our Education Trust and Endowment Fund.
Our Legacy of Giving
Through the ongoing support of our members and donors, CFUW Abbotsford has helped hundreds of women return to school, earn degrees, and pursue meaningful careers.
The interest from our Endowment Fund ensures that at least one scholarship and one bursary can be awarded annually — in perpetuity.
In recognition of our long-standing commitment to education, the University of the Fraser Valley awarded CFUW Abbotsford its Lifetime Paddle — a special honour acknowledging cumulative giving of over $100,000 to support students.
CFUW Abbotsford Scholarships & Awards
Scholarship: $2,000
Awarded to a full-time mature female student at UFV with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Bursary: $2,000
Awarded to a part-time mature female student at UFV with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Leadership Award: $2,000 (3-Year Term)
Granted to a student identifying as female in the Health Care Faculty at UFV, recognizing academic potential and leadership.
